Post Doctoral Fellow, Environmental Health

Anna Young is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health at Emory Rollins School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the reproductive and carcinogenic impacts of human exposures to complex mixtures of thousands of known and unknown chemicals (the exposome). Dr. Young previously received her MS and PhD degrees and postdoctoral training in the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. There, she conducted research about healthier materials in buildings as a strategy to reduce exposures to entire groups of toxic chemicals, and she advanced novel exposure assessment techniques, such as in vitro assessments of total hormonal bioactivities of complex chemical mixtures sampled via silicone wristband personal samplers or office dust. Dr. Young also holds BA degrees in Computer Science and Environmental Studies from Yale University.
