My broad research interests include social determinants and psychosocial aspects of HIV/AIDS among women. My published research centered on HIV prevention, sexual risk behaviors, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and aging with HIV.  My current research interests and grant funding focus on women aging with HIV, and especially successful aging. I was trained as a sociologist and have expertise in social determinants of health, mixed methods research design, qualitative and quantitative data analyses, data management and database development.
