Rollins Earn And Learn (REAL) Program Calendar

Non-CDC

  • August 1 – October 3: Employers may begin posting positions and student may begin applying
  • September 1: Earliest date a non-CDC student may begin working if they’ve received an authorization email from RSPH Human Resources - Students may not begin working before that authorization
  • October 7: Deadline for students to secure a position if starting in Fall 2017 (Employers, that means a student has accepted your offer)
  • November 1: Employers may begin posting job positions for Spring 2018
  • November 23 -24: University Holiday (students are not allowed to work)
  • December 7 – 15: Students may work up to 40 hours/week (versus 20 hours/week during periods of enrollment)
  • December 15: Last day students may work during Fall 2017 semester
  • December 16 – January 1: Winter Break (students are not allowed to work)
  • January 2: Earliest start date for Spring 2018 semester
  • January 2 – 7: Students may work up to 40 hours/week (versus 20 hours/week during periods of enrollment)
  • January 15: University Holiday (students are not allowed to work)
  • February 24: Last date job postings can remain up for Spring 2018 hires
  • March 3: Deadline for students to secure a position for Spring 2018 (Employers, that means a student has accepted your offer if they are not continuing from the previous semester)
  • March 12 – 16: Spring Break (students may work up to 40 hours/week)
  • May 1 – May 4: Students may work up to 40 hours/week (versus 20 hours/week during periods of enrollment)
  • May 4: Last day students may work during Spring 2018 semester

CDC

  • October 7: Deadline for CDC employers to secure a student for a Fall 2017 position / CDC employers must submit hire paperwork to CDCWorkStudyPro in the CDC's Human Resources Office
  • November 1 – February 24: Employers may post positions for Spring 2018 hires and students may begin applying
  • November 23 – 24: University Holiday (students are not allowed to work)
  • December 7 – 15: Students may work up to 40 hours/week (versus 20 hours/week during periods of enrollment)
  • December 28: Last day students may work during Fall 2017 semester
  • December 16 – January 1: Winter Break (students are not allowed to work)
  • January 2: Earliest start date for Spring 2018 semester
  • January 2 – 7: Students may work up to 40 hours/week (versus 20 hours/week during periods of enrollment)
  • January 15: University Holiday (students are not allowed to work)
  • February 24: Deadline for CDC employers to secure a student for a position starting in Spring 2018 (if student is not continuing from previous semester) / CDC employers must submit hire paperwork to CDCWorkStudyPro in the CDC's Human Resources Office
