Past Work in Hispanic/Latino Health:

U.S.: In the United States, Dr. del Rio has provided care for many patients including Latinos.

Latin America: Dr. del Rio is originally from Mexico and maintains several collaborations there in research, training and policy. In addition, Dr. del Rio has collaborated with colleagues in other Latin American countries such as Peru.

Opportunities for Students

Dr. del Rio has several students assist him with research. Specifically, he has had two medical students and several Masters of Public Health students do research with him in Latin America. In addition, a medical student researched with Dr. del Rio while working with Latino populations. Students have been involved in research to the capacity of conducting interviews, surveys, and chart abstractions.
