Registration Instructions

Thank you for your interest in joining us for Visit Emory!

As of March 12, 2020 Visit Emory has moved to a virtual event! Check our website to stay up to date about all of our virtual events and engagement opportunities.

Tips and Things to Consider:

  • Register early if you would like to request housing with a current student, tour CDC Museum, participate in class visits or attend the residential and housing tours-these activities will fill up to capacity quickly. Be sure to review the Visit Emory Program and available class visits carefully before signing up. Some events are still being developed but you will be provided with a final copy when you check-in for Visit Emory.
  • You may only register for 2 class visits. If you register for more than 2, you will be removed from all of your class visits.
  • Please review the Visit Emory Program when making your selections. We also offer some general advisement in our FAQs for those who need a bit more assistance narrowing down their choices.
  • It may be helpful to review our Course Catalog if you are interested in participating in Thursday's class visits. There are more detailed descriptions of many of the course offerings there.
  • Please see the section labeled "Guests" to learn more about what activities they may or may not attend.
  • The deadline for online registration for Visit Emory 2020 will be Friday, March 20, 2020. Students interested in attending after registration has closed may register on-site at RSPH.
  • Please make sure your selections are FINAL. You will be unable to revise your registration once it is submitted. If you have made an error or need to cancel your registration, please click here to send us an email.

Housing Sign Up

The Rollins SGA offers the distinct experience of housing with a current student to admitted students attending Visit Emory. This is an opportunity for one to really experience what it is like to live in Atlanta and gain some further insight about life at Rollins from a current student.

Registration to stay with a current student will be a part of the Visit Emory registration process.

A few notes about the housing with a current student:

  1. All graduate housing at Emory is off-campus. Many of our current students live in the immediate area so you can quickly and easily commute to the campus.
  2. This housing opportunity is only available for visiting students who are traveling alone or would like to make individual lodging arrangements.
  3. Spaces are limited so early registration is encouraged.
  4. Please note that hosts are not responsible for transportation or food.
  5. Our current students will offer housing accommodations on Thursday (all day and Thursday night) and/or Friday (all day and Friday night).
  6. Please also carefully consider your time of arrival and departure and make certain those times are during normal working hours (between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.).  It is more likely that we can match you with a current who can accommodate you during normal working hours.
  7. Please allow 48 business hours for a response after filling out the registration form.

Thursday: Optional Activities

The Visit Emory event offers you a range and variety of opportunities to discover more about Rollins and our surrounding community.  Thursday, your Optional Day, certainly reflects this goal!  You will notice that you can register for the following Thursday activities:

  • Class Visits
  • Campus Crossings Housing Tours
  • David Sencer CDC Museum Tours

These activities all take place at different times and these times will often conflict.  Because the maximum number of available spots in classes and tours is limited, we ask you only reigster for two class visits.

We understand the challenges that go into narrowing your selections when there are so many wonderful opportunities for you to experience.  Please review helpful tips and advisement under our Visit Emory FAQs for additional support in this area.

We strive to offer every visiting admitted student the opportunity to attend as many activities as possible!

Who Registers?

Visit Emory is a program for students who have been admitted to the Rollins School of Public Health. Admissions decisions are not tied to your attendance at Visit Emory. Every admitted student wishing to attend Visit Emory must register through this site using the official Visit Emory Registration Form.

Prospective, non-admitted students interested in the Executive Master of Public Health Program (our distance-based program for professionals with at least 3 years of work experience), may pre-register and attend Visit Emory. Please contact the Executive MPH Program directly to RSVP: Allyson Bianchi

If you plan to bring a guest, please be mindful that they will not be permitted to participate in the following activities due to space limitations:

Thursday (Optional Day) Friday (Main Day)
Class Visits Department Meetings
David Sencer CDC Museum Tours
Campus Crossing Housing Tour
