Dr. Lang received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University, California. She also holds two master degrees in Experimental Psychology and Biostatistics. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Rollins School of Public Health, supported by the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine and CDC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in STI/HIV Prevention, Dr. Lang joined the faculty in the department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences. Dr. Lang’s has contributed to numerous national and international research and evaluation studies addressing HIV prevention programs among individuals suffering from mental illness. 

Dr. Lang currently focuses her work on the scholarship of teaching and learning. She is conducting evaluation research focused on establishing an evidence-base for active, problem-based pedagocial approaches designed to train the next generation of public health professionals. She serves as Interim Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
