The Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health is comprised of a diverse group of master's and doctoral students, faculty, and alumni with connections to relevant public health and environmental health agencies. Many environmental health students and faculty are connected with organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency, The Carter Center, and other universities and entities in both the private and public sector, both domestic and abroad.

The Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health brings together collective international experience. Many of our students and faculty have worked or lived outside of the U.S. conducting and leading research, enlisted as Peace Corps Volunteers, and worked (or currently work) with non-governmental organizations.

The vast array of backgrounds among members of the department allows for expertise in numerous aspects of environmental health. At Rollins, environmental health education reaches beyond the classroom. You will find many of our members working in the community putting public health into action. Whether learning in the classroom, conducting research in a lab, or trekking outside to test the water quality of a local creek, you will find a deep passion for public health among members of our department and community.
