Networking Events

The Office of Career Development organizes several networking receptions to provide a convenient and comfortable avenue for students to network with alumni and public health professionals. Some of these networking nights are centered on different sectors within public health, including government, healthcare, consulting and international work experience. Please see the Office of Career Development calendar for a list of upcoming networking events.

  • Mock Interview & Networking Night - occurs once in the Fall and allows students to practice their interviewing and networking skills in a supportive environment to gain feedback on a skill of critical importance to their future public health careers. Public health professionals, alumni, and Rollins School of Public Health staff and faculty serve as mock interviewers by conducting two 30-minute interviews and provide valuable feedback upon the conclusion of the interviews. A networking reception follows the mock interview session, providing students the opportunity to connect with public health professionals, RSPH alumni and staff, and other public health professionals.
  • Consulting Networking Night - This is a great networking event bringing together consulting professionals and interested Public Health Graduate students from the Rollins School of Public Health. While this event’s primary purpose is to encourage students to network and give them an environment to practice doing so, this evening also provides an opportunity for professionals in the field of consulting to network with one another.
  • International Career Networking Night – RSPH Career Development co-hosts this networking event with the Emory Career Center aimed at students interested in exploring global opportunities to work abroad and to work with/for international population in the US. This event brings a variety of professionals whose work have an international aspect or component and provides the students a chance to practice their networking skills.
  • Dad’s Garage Networking Event - occurs once in the Fall and allows students to learn the “Art of Networking” in a fun, supportive and improvisational environment. Nervous about networking? Intimidated by interviews? Foot-in-mouth disease when it matters most? Please come to this interactive workshop with Dad’s Garage Theatre.
