Shepard Award Winners
The Charles C. Shepard Award is given to one master's student each year in recognition of a well-researched thesis. Each department nominates top theses, which are then presented by student nominees before a faculty committee. As of 2017, biographies of recipients will be featured here.
2017 Recipient, Katie Singh, MSPH, HPM
Katherine Singh is a 2017 MSPH graduate from the Department of Health Policy & Management. During her time at Rollins, she worked on federal health policy at both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and at the U.S. Government Accountability Office and on Georgia state policy at the YWCA of Greater Atlanta. Her interest in Medicaid policy stems from her time observing health disparities in her home state of Texas. She looks forward to continuing to work on issues affecting the health of vulnerable populations.
