MD/MPH Dual Degree Courses of Study
MD/MPH Students may major in nine degree concentrations
in the Rollins School of Public Health:
Behavioral Sciences and Health Education
Biostatistics
Environmental and Occupational Health
Environmental Health/Epidemology
Epidemiology
Global Environmental Health
Global Epidemiology
Global Health
Health Policy and Management
In addition,
MD/MPH students have worked in five of the Centers:
the Center on Health Outcomes and Quality
the
Center for Injury Control,
the Women's & Children's Center,
the Center for Public Health Preparedness, and the
Center for Public Health Practice.
The research activities of the Public Health faculty are diverse
and include studies of national and international scope. Faculty
collaborate with researchers at the
School of Medicine,
the American Cancer Society, the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
The Carter Center,
CARE International,
the Morehouse School of Medicine,
the National Institutes of Health, the
Georgia Institute of Technology,
county health departments, and the
Georgia Department of Human Resources as
well as schools of public health, schools of medicine, and public
health agencies around the world. The new Emory Institute for Global Health also will offer exciting new opportunities to our students.
