The Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health works with colleagues, partners, and alumni to provide our students with enriching opportunities to gain in-depth experience to enhance their education toward becoming public health professionals. All Rollins students are required to satisfy 200-400 applied practice experience hours in a public health setting and either a culminating thesis (more research-based) or capstone (more practice-based) integrative learning experience.
Environmental health sciences doctoral students complete three semester-long research rotations, conduct research, and prepare dissertations. To help students meet these requirements, we depend on our faculty, colleagues, community and global partners, alumni, and others to consider hiring our environmental health students for projects and positions relevant to environmental health.
Opportunities can include ongoing research projects, applied practice experiences, internships, summer field work (U.S. or abroad), and various types of employment (full-time, part-time, paid, and unpaid).
Ready to post an opportunity?
The Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health is working with the Rollins Office of Career Development to streamline opportunity postings for our students. We courage you to utilize our school-wide job board, Rollins Handshake, to post your opportunities for our students.
Handshake allows students to view and apply directly to your job posting. Once a student applies, the application will be sent immediately to the job poster and it will be that person’s responsibility to follow up with the student for an interview or offer. Should you have any questions about navigating Handshake or posting an opportunity, please contact the Office of Career Development.
