How do I know if I have properly submitted my registration?
You will receive a confirmation email which outlines all of the selections you have made. Please ensure that your email address is spelled correctly and that you are offering us an email address that you check frequently. We will use that email address to send you any important updates.
I realized that I did not select all of the events I should have when I initially registered. Can I revise my registration?
Please be sure to carefully review the registration instructions above before proceeding to registration. Ensure that you are prepared to select a total of 4 activities: two sessions from Sessions 1-7 and two sessions from Sessions numbered 7-9. If you have discovered that you have selected less (or more) than 4 activities, please contact us and we will revise your registration.
Will I need to have my ID and/or registration confirmation available to access the event?
When you arrive, please check in at our registration table located in the Plaza Lobby of the Claudia Nance Rollins Building and offer us your name. We will have an individualized schedule with your registration selections and a name tag available. No additional verification is required to check in.
Should I bring my resume, curriculum vitae, or portfolio to the event?
Bringing these items is not required, but if you have them on hand it could be beneficial. You may meet faculty or staff with whom you may wish to share more information about yourself. We would not discourage you from being prepared with these items.
Will the advisors for each department be present and accessible to the participants?
Yes, the academic advisors are facilitating the departmental sessions, so you will certainly have the opportunity to interact with them in the two departmental sessions you select. In the event that you are interested in connecting with other advisors, we will have a full listing of departmental contacts available. Also, some academic advisors may remain around during the lunch hour so this is also another avenue and opportunity to interact with them.
What is the suggested attire?
We encourage participants to dress comfortably and bring a light sweater or jacket as some areas may be cooler than others. You would also need to be prepared to do a moderate amount of walking throughout the building.
How will the literature be disseminated (in bags, folders, etc.)?
Most of the literature you receive will be disseminated to you in a folder at the time of check in. You may also receive additional materials during the departmental sessions. You can feel free to bring an extra tote to carry all of your materials if you prefer.
Any further advice to be prepared for the event?
We encourage you to come prepared with your questions to ask during the departmental sessions. Exploring websites such as www.asph.org and www.sph.emory.edu will offer you a solid framework for your questions as well as the latest developments in Public Health.
I am unable to attend the Open House. Are there other opportunities to connect with Rollins?
