Scheduling Appointments
One-on-one appointments are available with our career counselors so that students can learn how to research industries and occupations and receive advice about conducting a job or practicum search. Please schedule an appointment by calling the office at 404-727-9957, emailing us at careerservices@sph.emory.edu or visiting our office on the 8th floor of the Grace Crum Rollins building. Please be flexible when scheduling, as sometimes appointments might be moved. Students interested in feedback on resumes should first attend one of the many Resume 101 sessions offered each semester.
Appointment Cancellations/No-Shows
Students must give the Office of Career Services 24-hour notice if they cannot make a scheduled appointment with a Career Counselor, except in extenuating circumstances. The Office reserves the right to revoke services to students who repeatedly miss scheduled appointments.
Please see the On-Campus Recruitment section below for information on our On-Campus Interview Cancellation/No-Show policy.
On occasion, a Career Counselor may be called away from the Office, necessitating the rescheduling of an appointment. The Office respects our students' time and will make every effort to provide advance notice should the need to reschedule arise. Please make sure to include your telephone number when making an appointment for this reason.
15-Minute Walk-In Appointments
Walk-in sessions are held every Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4pm, and no appointment is necessary. Students will be seen on a first-come-first-served basis and will receive one-on-one assistance from a career counselor. Sessions will provide time for students to ask general questions. More in-depth needs may require students to secure an appointment during regularly scheduled hours.
Mock Interviews
Students may schedule an hour-long mock interview with our career counselors to receive help preparing for future interviews.
Registering for Events and Programs
The Office of Career Services sponsors a variety of events, such as information sessions, panels, and networking opportunities, designed to prepare students for a career in public health. Students must register in advance for all events on the Rollins Opportunities Link (https://sph-emory-csm.symplicity.com/students) and must give 24-hour notice if they cannot attend.
Alumni Career Services
Rollins School of Public Health graduates have free access to the Office of Career Services for up to two years post- graduation. Beyond two years, Alumni are welcome to schedule an initial meeting with the RSPH Office of Career Services and will then be referred to the Emory Alumni Association (EAA) for further career counseling and coaching. The EAA¿s Career Services Program features a comprehensive career counseling and coaching service specialized to meet the needs of alumni, and offers a one-time complimentary coaching or counseling session. For more information on EAA¿s Career Services, please visit The EAA Website
