MD/MPH: Medicine and Public Health

The MD/MPH program prepares students to work as physicians in the public health field, enabling them to diagnose health problems and risk factors of individuals and communities.

Length of Program:

  • May be completed in five years
  • Four years spent in the School of Medicine
  • Fourth year at RSPH (minimum 32 - 35 credit hours)

Career Opportunities:
Physicians who are awarded an MPH will have the ability to work in international and governmental agencies, clinics, health departments and research centers, as well as teach at schools of public health.

Applying to Dual Degree Programs
Students must apply to and be accepted into each school separately in order to be eligible for a dual degree.
