Program Information
This intensive and comprehensive training program is taught by a staff of recognized experts in cancer registration, surveillance, and control. The
instructors are accomplished adult trainers and are recognized as leaders in their fields. The training will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, 2183 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia 30033, located in the Atlanta-Emory University area.

Who Should Attend
This program is suitable for oncology program (hospital-based and central registry-based) employees with minimal knowledge of cancer, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Cancer registrars with less than one year of experience or statistical and epidemiological staff who utilize cancer registry data would benefit most from this program. Class size will be limited and is available on a first come, first served basis.

Fees and Registration
The registration fee is $1000 for the weeklong training. A 10% discount will be given to participants registered and paid in full one month prior to the training course. The fee includes classroom and individualized instruction, a large comprehensive instructional manual (you may want to bring a wheeled carrier of some sort to cart this manual, and your other manuals, around with you) developed especially for this program, training materials, and morning and afternoon refreshment breaks. Sorry, but due to the high volume of credit card fraud and bad debt, we are not able to accept credit cards for payment. We do, however, accept cash, checks, money orders, purchase orders, and training orders.

Participants are responsible for their own travel, meals, and incidental expenses.

A participant is considered registered for the program when full payment of fees is received. To reserve your place, complete the registration form for the training session you wish to attend and send it with a check made payable to Emory University to the following address:

Emory University
Georgia Center for Cancer Statistics
Attn: Gerrie Claxton

Please note:
We recognize the fact that it takes time to get the administrative details taken care of in a health facility or government office. However, in order to plan for meeting room space and materials, you must notify the Training Program Coordinator of your intent to register. The FEIN (tax ID number) of Emory University is: 58-0566256

Cancellations
Registration fees minus a $100.00 administrative fee will be refunded if notice of cancellation is received in writing more than two weeks prior to the start of the training program. After that time, fees are non-refundable.
