Biosafety Training Course: Biosafety Level 3
The Center for Public Health Preparedness and Research (CPHPR) and the Southeast
Regional Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infections (SERCEB)
is pleased to offer the BSL3 Science and Safety Training Course.
This five-day training offers participants the opportunity to learn and practice new skills for BSL3 laboratories. The BSL3 course is designed to motivate adult learners, modify behaviors, and change the attitudes and beliefs of participants. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- pass a written and observational Science and Safety examination with an 85% or better;
- demonstrate adherence to several critical standard operating procedures (including donning, doffing, laboratory emergencies);
- work with individual consultants to develop and deliver biosafety training content;
- teach others the importance of understanding the Biological and Toxins Weapons Convention, Select Agent Program Regulations, and dual use research of concern;
- network with other biosafety professionals.
Course fee: is $2,500.00 USD.
